Drive down Hawthorne Boulevard and you cannot miss it. A towering 130-foot mural featuring Dodgers superstars Shohei Ohtani, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, and Roki Sasaki now dominates the DoubleTree by Hilton. Created by celebrated artist Robert Vargas, the piece pays tribute to the Japanese players who helped deliver back-to-back World Series titles. Why locals are talking: This is not just a pretty picture. It is a landmark that cements Torrance's Japanese-American heritage while celebrating the city's love for baseball. Best part? It is free and open to anyone who wants to swing by for a look.
