Wilson Park Night Market Adds Chef Demo Stage |
Friday’s twilight market debuts tastings from South Bay kitchens and late-night vendors. |
Wilson Park’s Friday Night Market is leveling up this week with a live chef demo stage, twilight hours from 5–10 p.m., and 20 rotating food stalls stretching along the basketball loop. South Bay chefs will walk through quick marinades using farmers market produce while vinyl DJs spin mellow disco sets between demos.
Families can grab pre-packed picnic kits, yard games, and storytime blankets from the city’s Community Services booth. Breweries including Smog City and Project Barley are pouring collab releases that benefit the Torrance Education Foundation’s arts grants, and the Torrance Artist Guild is selling limited-edition poster prints of the market scene for $25.
Parking fills fast, so planners suggest biking in via the Dominguez Channel path or using the free shuttle from Torrance Civic Center (departures every 15 minutes). Vendors now accept TAP-to-pay, and the market’s text line (text NIGHT to 310-997-8192) sends weather updates plus the nightly music schedule. |
