Del Amo Boulevard Water Pipe Replacement Project Begins

Cal Water has begun a major water pipe replacement project on Del Amo Boulevard between Maple Avenue and Western Avenue that will continue through mid-May 2026. The work requires lane closures and will impact traffic in both directions during construction hours.

The project replaces aging water mains to improve reliability and reduce the risk of future water main breaks. Crews will work Monday through Friday, typically from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM to minimize rush hour impacts. Some night work may be required.

Drivers should expect delays and consider alternate routes including Carson Street or Torrance Boulevard. The city will post updated traffic advisories as work progresses. Access to businesses and residences will be maintained throughout construction.
