Torrance Schools Expand STEM Programs

New robotics and coding courses added for elementary and middle school students

Torrance Unified School District is expanding its STEM education offerings with new robotics and coding courses for elementary and middle school students. The programs are designed to introduce students to technology concepts and prepare them for future careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

The new courses include hands-on robotics building, introductory programming, and engineering design challenges. Classes will be offered both during school hours and as after-school programs. Weekend workshops are also available for students who want additional learning opportunities.

The district has partnered with local technology companies to provide equipment and mentorship for the programs. Parents can register students through the district website or contact their school's main office for more information about specific offerings.
