Armed Forces Day Road Closures Are Now Posted

The City of Torrance has moved Armed Forces Day traffic planning into the public stage by posting official road-closure materials for the May 15–17, 2026 celebration weekend. The city’s Armed Forces Day page now includes direct links for road closures, and the transit/city document system lists an “Armed Forces Day Road Closures - Updated per TPD” file along with route materials. The event page confirms the parade is scheduled for Saturday, May 16 at 1:30 p.m. along Torrance Boulevard, and the celebration weekend will also include military exhibits and related programming.

For residents, this is a useful early heads-up because Armed Forces Day is one of the city’s biggest annual events and can affect weekend driving, parking, and neighborhood access well before the actual parade begins.
