Vista Largo Water Main Repairs Move Toward Construction |
The City’s Public Works project will reconnect a damaged water main after storm-related slope failure affected the Vista Largo area. |
Torrance Public Works is moving forward with a water infrastructure repair project in the Vista Largo area.
The City says the project will construct approximately 150 lineal feet of new 6-inch water main on a steep slope to reconnect the existing water main in Vista Largo with the existing high-pressure water main in Vista Montana. The work also includes valves, fittings, and a pressure regulator in a vault. The original water main was damaged by slope failure during the February 2024 storms.
According to the City, a Public Works Agreement was awarded to American Pipeline Services on November 18, 2025, and construction is scheduled to begin in April 2026. The project budget is listed at $400,000.
For nearby residents, this is the kind of behind-the-scenes infrastructure work that matters even when it does not make headlines. Water main repairs help maintain reliability, protect neighborhoods from future service disruptions, and address damage left behind by severe weather.
