Traffic Alert: Lane Closures Continue Near Del Amo, Madrona, and Challenger

Drivers should expect daytime traffic impacts from May 4–8 near the Water Replenishment District pipe project.

The City of Torrance says multiple lane closures are taking place as part of the Water Replenishment District’s raw water pipe installation work. The latest listed traffic impacts include work scheduled May 4 through May 8, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., affecting areas around Del Amo Boulevard, Madrona Avenue, Challenger Street, and Pioneer Avenue.

Drivers should allow extra time, follow posted signs, and use alternate routes when possible.

This affects weekday driving near a busy Torrance corridor and could slow trips for commuters, nearby residents, delivery drivers, and anyone traveling around Del Amo, Madrona, Challenger, or Pioneer.

Avoid the work area during daytime construction hours if possible and check the city’s traffic-impact notice before driving through the area.
