Torrance Budget Season Reaches Final Public Hearing

Residents can review the city’s proposed FY 2026–27 budget materials and follow how tax dollars may be used.

Torrance’s city budget process is one of the most important civic items residents can follow this month. The City scheduled public budget hearings for May 5, May 19, and June 9, with meetings held at the LeRoy J. Jackson Council Chamber, 3031 Torrance Boulevard. The City describes the hearings as an opportunity for residents to learn about the proposed budget.

The City has also posted its Proposed Fiscal Year 2026–27 Operating Budget and Capital Improvement Plan on the budget documents page. That page includes prior budget reports, hearing presentations, and related finance materials, giving residents a place to review how city departments, infrastructure, capital projects, and services may be funded.
