Onigilly Heads to Del Amo Fashion Center

The Bay Area onigiri brand is bringing Japanese rice balls and bowls to Torrance.

Del Amo Fashion Center is adding another food option with Onigilly, a Bay Area-born brand focused on Japanese onigiri.

Simon’s Del Amo Fashion Center page now lists Onigilly among its stores and describes the brand’s focus on traditional pressed rice balls. A separate Onigilly “coming soon” listing says the company’s mission is to introduce onigiri into the American diet, with roots that go back to a food cart and later Bay Area locations.

What Now Los Angeles also reported that franchisees Rav Randhawa and Dana Romano are planning the Torrance location at Del Amo, with a summer opening target. For readers, this is a useful Bites & Bottles item because it gives shoppers another quick, portable lunch or snack option at one of Torrance’s busiest destinations.
