Torrance residents near the refinery may hear the Community Alert Sirens during the next scheduled monthly test on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at approximately 11:30 a.m.

The City of Torrance lists the siren test as a recurring monthly event, usually held on the first Wednesday of the month. The city’s event page clearly states: “THIS IS ONLY A TEST!” The Torrance Refinery also posts monthly siren-test notices through its recent updates page.

For residents, this is a useful reminder not to panic if the sirens sound during the scheduled test window. In a real emergency, residents should follow official instructions from TorranceAlerts, city public-safety channels, and emergency responders. The City of Torrance describes TorranceAlerts as its primary mass notification system for emergency information and protective actions such as evacuation orders.
