AniFest Brings Anime, Cosplay, and Pop Culture to Torrance

The South Bay’s long-running anime festival returns June 6 at the Torrance Cultural Arts Center.

AniFest returns to the Torrance Cultural Arts Center on Saturday, June 6, bringing anime, manga, cosplay, live performances, vendors, artists, food, and Japanese pop culture to the heart of Torrance.

Discover Torrance describes AniFest as the South Bay’s longest-running anime festival, returning for its eighth annual celebration. The event is scheduled to run from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and is expected to draw more than 4,000 attendees from across Southern California.

This year’s festival includes more than 100 vendors and artists across the exhibitor hall and Artist Alley, a premier cosplay showcase, live music and idol performances, and food vendors throughout the venue’s indoor and outdoor plazas. New for 2026 is the V-Stage, a dedicated venue spotlighting VTuber talent.

For Torrance residents, this is more than a niche fan event. It is a large local gathering that brings visitors into the city, supports artists and vendors, and gives families, teens, and pop-culture fans a full-day event close to home.
