Downtown Torrance Gets Ready for a Soccer Watch Party

Downtown Torrance will turn into a soccer gathering spot this Saturday as the city hosts “Kick It in Downtown Torrance.”

The event is scheduled for Saturday, June 13, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 1215 El Prado Avenue. The city says the event is being presented in partnership with Metro and the Downtown Torrance Association.

Two watch party sessions are listed: Qatar vs. Switzerland at 12 p.m. and Brazil vs. Morocco at 3 p.m. Because attendance is expected to be high, registration is required for each specific watch party session. The city also notes that registration does not guarantee admission, since entry is subject to venue capacity.

Attendees should also be aware of the event’s clear-bag policy. The city says a strict clear-bag policy will be enforced at the watch party perimeter for safety and faster entry.

Public transportation is encouraged. Downtown Torrance is accessible by Torrance Transit Line 1, 3, or 5, and Connect Torrance may also be an option for local travel.

For families, sports fans, and residents looking for a bigger community event this weekend, this could be one of the most active gatherings in Torrance.
