Torrance Public Works Requests Can Be Tracked Online

Residents can report service issues, streetlight outages, illegal dumping, and other city concerns through the Citizen Portal.

The City of Torrance says many Public Works requests can be made online through the Torrance Citizen Portal. Residents can create an account, submit requests, and track the status of those requests through the city’s system.

The Public Works page lists several related service options, including online service requests, utility payments, streetlight outage reporting, Caltrans service requests, California Water Service support, and illegal dumping reports.

For residents, this is a practical tool worth knowing about. A broken streetlight, illegal dumping, or other neighborhood issue can be easy to complain about but harder to route to the right department. The online portal gives residents a more direct way to send the issue to the city and keep track of what happens next.

It is also useful for neighborhood groups, homeowners associations, and residents who regularly walk or drive the same streets and notice recurring issues.
