Beginner Bird Walk Invites Torrance Residents Into Madrona Marsh

New birders can join a guided walk and borrow binoculars at the preserve.

Torrance residents who want a quieter kind of weekend outing can head to Madrona Marsh Preserve for a guided bird walk.

The Palos Verdes/South Bay Audubon Bird Walk is scheduled for Saturday, June 27, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Madrona Marsh Preserve, located at 3201 Plaza Del Amo. The walk is designed for new and beginner birders, making it approachable for residents who are curious but do not know where to start.

Participants will meet in front of the Nature Center at 9 a.m. Binoculars will be available to borrow, which makes the event especially friendly for first-timers.

Madrona Marsh is one of Torrance’s most valuable natural spaces, and this guided walk gives residents a chance to see it with fresh eyes. It is a good pick for families, nature lovers, walkers, photographers, and anyone who wants a calm local activity before the summer heat picks up.
