Torrance residents planning to attend the city’s July 4 Celebration should check the event rules before arriving.

The celebration is scheduled for Saturday, July 4, 2026, at 6 p.m. at the LA Galaxy Sports Complex, located at 555 Maple Avenue. The city lists several allowed items, including water, money, strollers, wagons, blankets, and chairs with rounded legs.

Several items are not allowed for safety and field-protection reasons. The prohibited list includes alcohol, outside food and beverages other than water, motor vehicles and bicycles, pets, and sharp objects that could damage or penetrate the field. That includes chairs with pointed legs, canopies, and umbrellas.

For families, this is a good alert to read before packing the car. A quick check now can prevent delays, confusion, or having to return items before entering.
