Torrance residents can experience traditional Japanese music this weekend at El Retiro Library.

The Awaya-Kai Koto Musical Performance is scheduled for Saturday, July 11, at 2 p.m. at El Retiro Library. Torrance Public Library says the program features The Yoko Awaya Koto Music Conservatory and offers an afternoon of traditional Japanese music and culture.

This is a strong Events Radar item because it is local, cultural, and different from the usual weekend listing. It gives residents a chance to hear a traditional instrument, learn something new, and enjoy a quieter arts experience inside a neighborhood library setting.
