A little rhythm can be a great way to start the week.

The City of Torrance’s Salsa for Seniors class gives older adults an inviting place to learn introductory salsa steps, enjoy music, and stay active in a social environment. No previous dance experience is required, and the city describes the program as a supportive option even for participants who believe they have “two left feet.”

Classes are held on Mondays from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Bartlett Senior Center, located at 1318 Cravens Avenue. The July 13 class is part of a continuing weekly schedule, with additional sessions listed through the months ahead.

Beyond learning dance steps, the class offers participants an opportunity to move their bodies, enjoy upbeat music, and connect with other members of the community. The beginner-friendly format makes it approachable for residents who have never tried salsa as well as those who simply want to add more movement and fun to their routine.

Residents can review upcoming dates and program information through the city’s official

Salsa for Seniors event page.

The Bartlett Senior Center can also be reached at 310-320-5918 for questions about center activities.
