One of children’s literature’s coolest cats is getting his own Torrance library party.

The Pete the Cat and the Cool Cat Boogie Party begins at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 16, at Henderson Library. The youth program will feature music and crafts inspired by the familiar blue cat known for keeping his composure through all kinds of colorful adventures.

Pete the Cat stories have become favorites for many young readers because of their repetition, humor, music, and reassuring message that unexpected changes do not have to ruin the day.
