Old Torrance becomes a large outdoor marketplace on Sunday, July 26, when the monthly Torrance Antique Street Faire returns from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

More than 225 vendors are expected to participate, offering a wide range of antiques, collectibles, vintage furnishings, jewelry, artwork, clothing, memorabilia and decorative pieces.

Part of the fun is that no two visits are exactly alike. Shoppers may discover everything from mid-century household items and old advertising signs to

records, books, toys and one-of-a-kind conversation pieces.

The event is also an opportunity to spend time in downtown Torrance, where visitors can combine their search with breakfast, lunch or a stop at one of the surrounding independent businesses.

Admission to the street faire is free. Serious collectors may want to arrive early, while casual visitors can enjoy a slower walk through the booths later in the morning.

The city lists the event from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, July 26. Visitors should review the official listing before leaving home for any updated street, parking or event information.
