The Torrance City Council is scheduled to hold its next regular meeting on Tuesday, July 21, at the LeRoy J. Jackson Council Chamber.

The city’s meeting page lists a closed session beginning at 5 p.m., followed by the regular public meeting at 6:30 p.m. Councilmembers may discuss and act only on matters included on the published agenda, making the agenda the most useful starting point for residents who want to understand what is under consideration.

Residents do not have to attend in person to participate.

Written comments can be submitted through the city’s OneMeeting Public Portal or delivered to the City Clerk’s Office at 3031 Torrance Boulevard. Comments received by 5:30 p.m. on the Monday before the meeting are published for public review before the meeting. Later submissions are still added to the official record if received before adjournment.

Residents can also speak during the designated public-comment periods inside the Council Chamber.

The city now provides telephone participation as an additional option. Callers can join using the meeting information published on the city’s official meeting page, press the designated command to raise their hand and unmute when recognized.

For those who only want to follow the proceedings, meetings are shown on CitiCABLE and streamed online. Recordings are also available afterward through the city’s video channels.

Because agendas can contain contracts, expenditures, appointments, development matters and policy decisions, residents should review the actual agenda rather than relying only on a meeting announcement.
