Torrance City Hall will be closed on Friday, July 24, under the city’s regular 9/80 operating schedule.

The schedule keeps City Hall open nine working days during each two-week period and closed every other Friday. Residents who need face-to-face assistance should complete their business earlier in the week or confirm when the appropriate department will reopen.

The closure may affect in-person services involving permits, planning questions, records, payments, business matters and other municipal transactions. Department schedules can differ, so residents should not assume every city facility follows the same closure calendar.

Many services remain accessible through the city’s website, including online payments, permit tools, public records information and service-request options. However, an online submission made during the closure may not be reviewed until staff return.

Residents with time-sensitive business should contact the appropriate department before Friday to confirm deadlines, required documents and available service options.

Police, fire and emergency response services are not described as closing with the administrative offices. For emergencies, residents should continue using 911.
