Torrance Art Museum Announces TRYST and NOMAD |
Two ambitious contemporary-art programs will bring international artist-run galleries and Southern California creators together in Torrance. |

Torrance Art Museum has announced the return of two distinctive contemporary-art programs: TRYST and NOMAD.
TRYST is described by the City as the world’s largest international alternative art fair devoted to artist-run galleries. Rather than following the conventional commercial art-fair model, it provides independent organizations and artist-led spaces with an opportunity to present their work and exchange ideas.
NOMAD is a noncommercial pop-up exhibition focused on artists from across Southern California. The program creates a temporary platform for a broad collection of artists, practices and perspectives outside the structure of a traditional gallery exhibition.
The upcoming programs will mark the fourth installment of TRYST and the fifth edition of NOMAD.
Together, the exhibitions reinforce Torrance Art Museum’s growing reputation for presenting experimental work and connecting local audiences with artists and independent art organizations from Southern California and beyond. |
