Friday Fun combines a nature walk, story time, and hands-on crafts in a program designed especially for young children. |

Preschool-age children and their families can spend a nature-filled morning at Madrona Marsh during the next Friday Fun program on July 31.
The two-hour program combines several activities designed to make nature approachable and exciting for young children. Participants can expect a nature-themed craft, story time, and a guided walk through the preserve.
Friday Fun is held at the Madrona Marsh Preserve, located at 3201 Plaza Del Amo, from 10 a.m. to noon.
The program offers families a chance to slow down, look closely at the natural world, and introduce children to the plants, animals, and seasonal changes found inside one of Torrance’s most distinctive public spaces.
Unlike an ordinary playground visit, the experience is structured around exploration and observation. Children can listen to a story, create something inspired by nature, and then head outside to see what they can discover along the preserve’s trails.
Advance registration is required. Registration opens at 10 a.m. Tuesday during the same week as the program, and families must call the Madrona Marsh Nature Center to reserve a space.
Because attendance may be limited, interested families should register promptly rather than waiting until Friday morning. Article Link |
