The stage adaptation brings Anna, Elsa, Olaf, and the music of Arendelle to the James Armstrong Theatre beginning August 8. |

Torrance Theatre Company will launch its 27th season with the opening-night performance of Disney’s Frozen on Saturday, August 8.
The curtain rises at 7 p.m. at the James Armstrong Theatre, located at 3330 Civic Center Drive. The opening performance is expected to run until approximately 9:15 p.m.
Based on Disney’s Academy Award-winning animated film, the stage musical follows sisters Anna and Elsa through a story of fear, isolation, courage, and reconciliation.
When Elsa’s concealed powers are revealed during her coronation, she flees Arendelle and unintentionally plunges the kingdom into winter. Anna sets out to find her, joined by Kristoff, Sven, and the eternally cheerful snowman Olaf.
The theatrical version includes the movie’s best-known songs by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, along with additional music written for the stage production. Audiences can expect comedy, visual spectacle, and a story centered on sisterhood and acceptance.
Tickets for opening night start at $35. The production continues through August 23, giving families several opportunities to attend beyond the first performance.
Torrance Theatre Company is a program of the City’s Cultural Services Division, with support from the Friends of Torrance Theatre Company.
