Super Mario Galaxy Movie Lands at Wilson Park |
A free family movie night will begin with lawn games, food vendors, activities, and community booths before the outdoor screening. |

Families can travel to another galaxy without leaving Torrance when The Super Mario Galaxy Movie screens outdoors at Wilson Park on Saturday, August 15.
The free event begins at 5 p.m. at the Wilson Park Amphitheatre, located at 2200 Crenshaw Boulevard behind the Splash Pad.
The movie is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m., but families have several reasons to arrive early. The pre-show portion will include lawn games, community information booths, family activities, and food vendors associated with the Torrance Farmers Market.
The early activities turn the screening into more than a simple movie showing. Children can play, families can explore community resources, and attendees can purchase food before settling down for the feature.
Guests should bring blankets or lawn chairs suitable for outdoor seating. A light jacket may also be useful after sunset, even if the afternoon is warm.
The event is part of the City’s Torrance Summer Nights series and is open to all ages. Admission is free.
Parking and prime viewing areas may become busier as showtime approaches, so families seeking a comfortable location should consider arriving close to the 5 p.m. start rather than waiting until the movie begins.
