A new Japanese-grill option is preparing to fire up its cooking surfaces in South Torrance.

Habachihana Grill has announced a July 31 grand opening at 25308 Crenshaw Boulevard. The address and Torrance location are now listed on the company’s official website.

Despite the playful spelling of its name, Habachihana focuses on familiar hibachi-style combinations cooked quickly and served in a fast-casual format.

The company’s menu centers on grilled proteins paired with fried rice, noodles, vegetables, sauces, or combinations of several items. Available proteins include choices such as steak, chicken, shrimp, and salmon, along with combination plates for customers who want more than one.

The experience differs from a traditional teppanyaki restaurant where diners sit around a large communal grill and watch a chef perform.

Habachihana brings many of the same flavors into a more accessible counter-service setting. Customers can order a plate, bowl, or combination without committing to a lengthy sit-down meal or group dining experience.

That format should make the restaurant suitable for quick lunches, takeout dinners, and families whose members want different grilled proteins.

The Torrance restaurant joins a growing Habachihana network with locations in communities including Huntington Beach, Bellflower, Chino Hills, Orange, Yorba Linda, and Anaheim.

Its address places the restaurant in Rolling Hills Plaza, an area that has continued to attract new food, dessert, and retail concepts.

Grand-opening details may include promotions, giveaways, special hours, or heavier crowds, but customers should review the company’s social channels before arriving because opening-day arrangements can change.

The July 31 debut also makes Habachihana the newest opening in this week’s Bites & Bottles lineup—assuming inspections and final preparations remain on schedule.
