A Silly Underwater Symphony Is Coming to the Library |
Illustrator Jordan Maeve Eusebio brings music, storytelling and sea-creature fun to young readers. |

Young readers can enjoy an imaginative encounter with books and illustration during Silly Shrimphony with illustrator Jordan Maeve Eusebio on Thursday, August 6, at 3 p.m.
The program appears on the Torrance Public Library’s August calendar as one of several special activities scheduled before the summer reading season concludes.
The playful event offers families a change from a traditional storytime by placing an illustrator and the creative process at the center of the experience. Children can discover how pictures, characters and visual details help bring a story to life.
Programs involving working authors and illustrators can also encourage young readers to think about books as creations made by real people—not simply finished objects found on a shelf.
Families should check the library’s official calendar for the participating branch, recommended age range and any attendance or registration instructions before arriving.
The afternoon program provides a convenient local outing for children who enjoy humorous stories, drawing and unusual sea creatures.
