Torrance is taking another step toward putting City services online. 

Beginning August 10, the City is launching online submission for Planning Entitlement Applications along with electronic plan review. The new system is intended to make it easier for applicants to submit planning materials and work through the review process digitally rather than depending entirely on traditional paper-based submissions. 

Planning entitlements can be required for projects that need discretionary City approval, making the new service relevant to property owners, businesses, developers, architects, and others working on projects in Torrance.

The change does not eliminate the City's planning requirements or approval process. Instead, it modernizes how applications and plans can be submitted and reviewed.

For residents and businesses accustomed to making trips to City Hall or coordinating large plan sets, the shift could make one of Torrance's more technical municipal processes substantially easier to navigate.
