Torrance Just Got a Burmese Restaurant—and It’s Something Different |
Daily Drops brings halal Burmese cooking to a tiny Artesia Boulevard storefront |

Torrance has Japanese food. Korean food. Hawaiian food. Mexican food. Italian food.
Now add Burmese cuisine to the list.
Daily Drops Burmese Cuisine has opened at 3527 Artesia Boulevard, bringing the flavors of Myanmar to a small Torrance storefront. The restaurant describes its food as 100% halal, and regional food coverage has identified it as one of Southern California’s newest Burmese restaurants.
This is the kind of place that makes Torrance’s food scene fun to explore.
Burmese cooking reflects influences from neighboring culinary traditions while maintaining a character all its own. At Daily Drops, diners can encounter dishes far removed from the standard fast-casual lineup.
One particularly interesting example is tohu nway, a creamy noodle dish made with warm chickpea tofu. A local food discussion highlighted Daily Drops’ chicken version of the specialty as an unusual dish even for diners already familiar with Burmese food.
The restaurant itself is small and primarily suited to takeout, although there are a couple of tables for diners who want to eat there.
That modest setting may actually add to the discovery.
This is not another large chain debuting with a giant grand-opening campaign. It is the kind of little restaurant you hear about from someone who says:
“You have to try this place.”
Those are often the best Bites & Bottles discoveries of all.
