Renovations will shut the Arlington Avenue branch from August 17 through August 29 |

A Torrance library branch is about to go offline temporarily.
The Southeast Library at 23115 Arlington Avenue will close for renovations beginning Monday, August 17. The closure is scheduled to continue through Saturday, August 29. The City currently plans to reopen the branch on Sunday, August 30.
For residents who regularly use Southeast Library for books, computers, study space, children’s materials or other library services, the nearly two-week closure is worth putting on the calendar now.
Torrance operates several other library branches, so patrons who need in-person services during the renovation period can use another location.
Because construction schedules occasionally change, anyone planning to visit immediately around the reopening date should confirm the branch status first.
The important dates are simple:
Closed: August 17–29
