Five Torrance-area professionals are volunteering to play a more active role in connecting the local business community.

The Torrance Area Chamber of Commerce has welcomed five new members to its Ambassador Program for the 2026–27 term: Yuraj Mapatuna of Primerica F.S., Jason Mescheder of Sunflower Bank, Heather Sung of NetPay Payroll, Danny Torres of 310 Construction Inc. and Michael Mescheder.

Chamber ambassadors serve as relationship-builders.

They help welcome new members, participate in Chamber programs and events, and serve as a bridge between businesses and the wider organization.

The role is especially valuable in a city like Torrance, where the business community ranges from small family-owned companies to major aerospace, healthcare, manufacturing and financial firms.

A healthy local economy is not built entirely through large investments and ribbon cuttings. Much of it happens through introductions, referrals, mentorship and people deliberately helping one another make useful connections.

That is where programs such as the Chamber Ambassadors come in.

The Chamber describes its broader mission as fostering professional relationships centered on support, friendship and progress.

These five volunteers will now help carry that mission into the coming year.
