Torrance diners have another Chinese restaurant to explore.

China Yi Chinese Cuisine has opened at 4860 W. 190th Street, adding a new dining option near the Torrance-Redondo Beach border.

The restaurant offers a broad menu rather than specializing in just one style of Chinese cooking. Current promotions highlight dim sum along with a range of familiar Chinese dishes, with dine-in, takeout and delivery available.

The City of Torrance recently marked China Yi’s arrival with a grand-opening ribbon cutting, formally welcoming the restaurant to the local business community.

That broad menu could make China Yi particularly useful for groups where everyone wants something different.

Recent menu highlights promoted for the Torrance location have included salt-and-pepper chicken wings, barbecue pork, beef pepper steak and other traditional favorites.

And unlike restaurants designed primarily around takeout, China Yi has a casual sit-down dining room for customers who want to make a meal of it.

Torrance already has one of the South Bay’s most diverse restaurant scenes, particularly when it comes to Asian cuisine. China Yi adds another option to that mix—and another locally accessible place for residents interested in exploring beyond their regular favorites.
