Torrance Company Lands U.S. Space Force Contract |
AnySignal Will Help Demonstrate Satellite-to-Satellite Communications |

Another Torrance technology company is moving deeper into the national-security space business.
AnySignal has been awarded a U.S. Space Force contract to develop and demonstrate technology allowing satellites to communicate directly with one another and move sensor information rapidly across a network in space.
The technology is designed to create a more resilient space-data network, particularly when conventional communications are being disrupted or attacked. One potential application is transferring information used to track missiles and drones from one satellite to another in near real time.
The local connection is substantial.
AnySignal manufactures its radio hardware at a 22,000-square-foot facility in Torrance, where it currently produces hundreds of radios annually. The company has grown from about 25 employees to approximately 80 full-time workers since raising a $24 million Series A late last year.
Several hundred AnySignal radios are already deployed across government and commercial missions, and the company's equipment is designed for use from low-Earth orbit all the way to lunar missions.
It's another example of Torrance quietly becoming home to companies building some of the country's most advanced aerospace and defense technology.
