Neros Lands $250 Million to Scale Its Drone Programs |
Torrance Operations Could Benefit as Defense-Tech Company Expands |

A fast-growing defense technology company with a major Torrance workforce has raised another enormous round of financing.
Neros Technologies announced a $250 million Series C investment at a $2.5 billion post-money valuation, co-led by Sequoia Capital and the American Strategic Technology Fund.
The company says the money will accelerate development and production of several new drone systems.
That includes Archer AI, an FPV drone platform incorporating autonomous capabilities such as terminal guidance and position-holding without GPS, along with Bandit, an interceptor designed to combat larger enemy drones. Neros is also developing technology that allows a single operator to control multiple unmanned aircraft.
And the Torrance employment connection is significant.
Although Neros currently identifies its headquarters as El Segundo, its careers page lists dozens of positions in Torrance, spanning autonomy, electrical engineering, software, manufacturing, cybersecurity, finance, operations and flight testing.
That makes the financing noteworthy locally: as Neros scales production, Torrance remains one of the places where much of the company's engineering and manufacturing talent is being recruited.
