There’s a new name serving Italian comfort food on Airport Drive.

Mamma Ciao! is operating at 2595 Airport Drive in Torrance, with a menu centered on familiar Italian favorites ranging from pizza and pasta to antipasti and classic chicken dishes.

The menu starts with appetizers such as bruschetta, arancini, eggplant parmigiana, fried calamari, prosciutto with burrata and meatballs.

Pasta choices include dishes such as Alfredo, Bolognese, lasagna and ravioli, while the pizza menu and entrées add plenty of options for diners looking for a casual Italian dinner.

Mamma Ciao describes its approach as rooted in Italian tradition, with an emphasis on pasta, pizza and familiar flavors rather than a highly formal dining experience.

The restaurant occupies the former Mama D’s space. Delivery listings indicate the transition to Mamma Ciao occurred earlier this year, giving the location a new identity while keeping Italian food at the center of the menu.

Current hours lean heavily toward dinner during the week, with lunch added on weekends.
