Torrance Recreation Registration Opens to Everyone Tuesday |
Non-Residents Can Begin Signing Up for Fall Classes August 25 |

The one-week registration advantage for Torrance residents ends Tuesday.
The City’s Fall 2026 recreation registration opens to non-residents on Tuesday, August 25, meaning programs that have been available only to Torrance residents since August 18 will now be open to a much larger pool of participants.
That makes this a useful reminder for Torrance families who intended to register but haven’t done so yet.
The City’s fall guide includes recreational classes, sports, activities and programs for multiple age groups, and space in individual offerings may be limited.
Torrance residents received priority registration beginning August 18. Starting Tuesday, residency is no longer required to begin registering.
The City recommends online registration, which is available around the clock. Payment must be completed when registering in order to secure a space.
Participants also need an account in the City’s recreation-registration system.
Most Fall 2026 classes begin the week of September 13, unless a particular program lists a different starting date.
So if there’s a class your household has been considering, Monday may be a good time to check whether space remains before registration expands Tuesday.
Non-Resident Registration Begins: Tuesday, August 25
