Torrance’s annual Aerospace Summer Games have a new champion — and one of the biggest names in aerospace is back on top.
Boeing won the 2026 Aerospace Summer Games, marking the company’s first overall victory at the Torrance competition in more than a decade.
Nearly 900 Boeing and Millennium Space Systems teammates, friends and family members attended this year’s competition.
Boeing finished among the top five in nine of the event’s 13 contests, accumulating the highest overall score among nearly 70 aerospace and defense teams.
The annual competition brings together workers from Southern California’s enormous aerospace and defense sector for athletic events and company camaraderie.
For Torrance, the games are more than a day of competition. They are also a reminder of the city’s position within one of the most important aerospace corridors in the country, with companies ranging from long-established industry giants to some of today’s fastest-growing space startups.
And this year, Boeing walked away with bragging rights.
