Absolution Is Throwing an All-Day End-of-Summer Party |
Tacos, a DJ and a stein-holding showdown arrive Saturday |

If you’re not quite ready to say goodbye to summer, Absolution Brewing Company apparently isn’t either.
The Torrance brewery is hosting an End of Summer Party on Saturday, September 5, at its taproom at 2878 Columbia Street.
Doors open at noon, with food from Irie Taco and music from DJ Dieguez helping turn the afternoon into an all-day celebration. Then things get competitive.
Absolution is bringing back its stein-holding contest, where participants hold a fully filled one-liter stein straight out for as long as they can. The brewery says winners can advance to the state competition with a chance to eventually reach the national finals.
The brewery is also planning longest disc-golf-putt and longest-cornhole-make competitions as part of the festivities.
The event itself is listed as free, although food and beverages are purchased separately.
Between Petty Theft at Wilson Park and this celebration only a few miles away, Saturday is shaping up to be one of the busier fun days of the week in Torrance.
