Victor Park Has a Mini Outdoor Workout Course |
A short fitness path makes this West Torrance park more than a picnic stop |

If your idea of exercise is more appealing outdoors than inside a gym, Victor Park has a feature worth knowing about.
The 6.6-acre park at 4727 Emerald Street includes a .18-mile walking and fitness path with exercise stations positioned along the route.
It is not a huge course, and that may actually be part of the appeal.
Residents can walk a few laps, stop at the exercise stations and get in a short outdoor workout without turning the outing into an all-day production.
Victor Park also includes sand volleyball, a half basketball court, horseshoe courts, a playground, picnic areas with barbecues and a large open grass field.
Another bonus sits immediately next door: Henderson Library.
That combination makes Victor particularly useful for families. One person can exercise, children can use the playground, and a library visit can easily become part of the same trip.
Victor Park is open daily from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
It is not flashy. It is simply one of those useful neighborhood spaces that becomes much more interesting once you know what is actually there.
