Torrance Home Prices Are Down — But the Market Is Still Competitive |
The latest three-month data shows a median sale price just over $1.2 million, while sales volume is rising. |

Torrance’s housing market is sending mixed signals heading into fall.
According to Redfin’s latest three-month figures through August, the median Torrance home sale price was $1,206,701, down 5.5% from a year earlier. The median price per square foot fell 3.3% to $694.
At the same time, market activity actually increased. 282 homes sold, up 13.7% year over year, while the typical property spent about 32 days on the market — essentially unchanged from last year.
Individual sales also show just how uneven the market can be. Recent Torrance closings ranged from homes selling well below asking price to others attracting strong competition and closing above list.
So while prices have eased from last year’s levels, Torrance remains a competitive and expensive market rather than one that has clearly shifted in favor of buyers.
