Two More Hard-Tech Companies Are Choosing Torrance |
Southern California’s aerospace boom is bringing another wave of technology companies into the city. |

Torrance’s technology cluster is getting even deeper.
The Los Angeles Times reports that Zenno Astronautics, a New Zealand-founded company developing magnetic stabilization systems for spacecraft, has signed a lease for its headquarters in Torrance. Founder Max Arshavsky cited Southern California’s dense concentration of aerospace companies and specialized talent as important reasons for the move.
The same report highlights Verustruct, a robotic-construction company that recently relocated from the New York/New Jersey region to Torrance. The company is developing automated methods for constructing housing and other structures.
Those arrivals join an increasingly crowded Torrance ecosystem that already includes companies working on nuclear power, hypersonic weapons, satellites, advanced manufacturing and aviation.
What was once largely an aerospace legacy is increasingly becoming a modern hard-tech cluster — and companies from outside California are now deliberately choosing Torrance as a place to grow.
