Grab the Binoculars for a Morning at Madrona Marsh |
A free guided bird walk gives beginners an easy way to explore one of Torrance’s best natural spaces. |

You don’t have to leave Torrance to spend Saturday morning looking for wildlife.
The South Bay Bird Watch returns to the Madrona Marsh Preserve on Saturday, September 26, from 9 to 11 a.m.
Members of the Palos Verdes/South Bay Audubon chapter will lead participants through the preserve on a guided bird walk designed for beginners and newcomers of all ages.
Participants meet at the Nature Center at 3201 Plaza Del Amo, and binoculars are available to borrow upon request.
Best of all, the program is free.
For residents who drive past Madrona Marsh regularly but rarely stop, this is an easy excuse to experience one of Torrance’s most distinctive natural spaces with people who can actually help identify what you’re seeing.
