Torrance Software Company Gives Engineers More Control of Their Data |
BQE launches CORE Insights for architecture and engineering firms |

Another Torrance technology company is rolling out a product aimed at solving a problem many businesses know well: having plenty of data but difficulty actually using it.
BQE Software announced the general availability of CORE Insights, a business-intelligence capability built directly into the company’s BQE CORE platform for architecture and engineering firms.
The new feature gives firms access to information involving projects, employee time, expenses and invoicing, while allowing users to organize that data into views tailored to their own businesses.
BQE says the goal is to reduce the need for architecture and engineering companies to repeatedly request custom reports, export spreadsheets or maintain a completely separate business-intelligence system just to analyze their own operational information.
It may sound highly specialized, but the local angle is worth noting. BQE is headquartered in Torrance, adding another software company to a business community already known for aerospace, automotive, advanced manufacturing and an expanding technology sector.
For a city better known nationally for Honda and aerospace, companies like BQE are helping broaden Torrance’s technology footprint.
