Oktoberfest Comes to Absolution Brewery |
Bratwurst, stein holding and German-inspired food take over the taproom |

Torrance beer fans have their own Oktoberfest celebration this weekend.
Absolution Brewery, located at 2878 Columbia Street, is hosting an all-day Oktoberfest on Saturday, October 3, with doors opening at noon.
The food lineup leans heavily into German festival favorites, including bratwurst, currywurst and schnitzel.
There will also be a stein-holding contest, giving participants a chance to see who can keep a filled stein extended the longest.
Limited custom Oktoberfest glasses will be available, and the brewery says the event is free and open to all ages.
It gives Torrance residents another Saturday option — particularly anyone looking for something more casual than a large street festival.
With Scaredown happening later the same day in Old Torrance, ambitious weekend planners could theoretically do both.
