Torrance High football is carrying some momentum into the heart of its schedule.
The Tartars defeated Santa Monica 35–14 Friday night, improving their season record to 4–2 and collecting their second consecutive victory.
Quarterback Gibson Turner led the way with an eye-catching performance, throwing for 400 yards and three touchdowns while completing nearly 88% of his passes.
Receiver Marcus Daley added 148 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Altogether, Torrance generated 479 yards of offense — its highest reported total since August 2025.
The Tartars now turn their attention to another league matchup when they face El Segundo Friday night.
High-school sports do not always make the larger Southern California news cycle, but performances like this deserve some hometown attention — especially when a Torrance quarterback puts 400 yards through the air in one night.
