For residents looking for a more intimate night out, the Torrance Cultural Arts Foundation is bringing music, storytelling and a little comedy to the Nakano Theatre.

Jess & Joe features performers Jessica Hayes and Joseph Ott, a husband-and-wife duo whose original music blends contemporary musical-theater storytelling with humor and close vocal harmonies.

The show runs Friday and Saturday, October 9–10, at 7 p.m. at the George Nakano Theatre, 3330 Civic Center Drive. 

Audiences can expect a mix of upbeat songs, playful lyrics and quieter moments built around the pair’s personal and musical partnership.

Tickets are available for the performance alone, with an optional dinner package also offered.

The cabaret format keeps the experience smaller and more personal than a traditional theater production, making it a good choice for residents looking for something different from a typical concert.
