Halloween Fun Takes Over Wilson Park

Torrance families looking for a festive way to celebrate Halloween have a fun—and free—option this weekend.

On Saturday, October 24, 2026, Torrance Parks & Recreation will host its annual Halloween Movie in the Park at Wilson Park, 2200 Crenshaw Boulevard.

The celebration begins at 4 p.m., with an outdoor screening of Toy Story 5 scheduled for 6:30 p.m.

Admission is free.

More Than Just a Movie

The city has planned an afternoon of activities designed for children and families.

Highlights include:

• Costume Parade: Children and adults can show off their Halloween costumes.
• Kids Zone: Family-friendly games and activities.
• Torrance Cheer Performance: A special performance from the city's cheer program.
• Pumpkin Decorating Contest: Guests can view decorated pumpkins and vote for their favorites.
• DJ Entertainment: Music throughout the festivities.
• Food Vendors: Refreshments available for purchase from participating Torrance Farmers Market vendors.

The movie provides a relaxing way to finish the evening after the afternoon festivities.

What Should Families Bring?

The city recommends bringing blankets and low-back lawn chairs for comfortable seating during the movie.

Families should also consider bringing warm clothing for the evening, when temperatures may be cooler than during the afternoon.

Costumes are encouraged, especially for those planning to participate in the parade.
