Soto is a 200-apartment development under construction at 3863 Carson Street near Del Amo Fashion Center. A September construction report showed the building fully framed, marking visible progress on a project whose developer has anticipated completion in summer 2027.

Legacy Partners and DWS Group are developing the community, with AO as architect and Westport Construction as general contractor. The five-story building occupies a former parking lot near the corner of Carson Street and Del Amo Circle.

What is planned

The apartment mix includes studios, one-bedroom homes, and two-bedroom homes. Published project information places their sizes between approximately 633 and 1,118 square feet.

AO describes an L-shaped building with an exterior inspired by nearby mid-century office buildings. The design puts housing onto land that previously served surrounding commercial properties, changing both the use of the site and the appearance of this stretch of Carson Street.

A separate parking structure is planned with 440 spaces. Shared amenities described in construction coverage include a rooftop pool, fitness facilities, coworking space, and two courtyards.

A construction milestone, with work still ahead

A fully framed building can look close to finished from the street, but framing is only one stage of construction. The reported milestone should not be read as confirmation that apartments are ready for residents.

The developer’s published completion target is summer 2027. Treat that as an anticipated schedule, and ask directly about any subsequent changes before making moving plans.

For prospective renters, useful questions include when leasing information will be released, which floor plans will be offered first, and what parking and other recurring charges will apply.

Follow the project by name and address

Using both “Soto” and “3863 Carson Street” will help distinguish this community from other housing projects around Del Amo. Keep those details handy when requesting information.

The location may interest readers looking for an apartment near the mall’s shopping and dining, but the right choice will depend on eventual rents, availability, and individual needs.
