Torrance Summer Nights is going out with a celebration this Saturday—and this finale is much more than another concert.

The City’s inaugural Hispanic Heritage Festival comes to Columbia Park on Saturday, September 12, with 512: The Selena Experience at the center of the festivities. The tribute band celebrates the music of Selena Quintanilla, the beloved “Queen of Tejano Music.”

The free event begins at 5 p.m. and also features a Mariachi opening act, food and additional festival activities in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month. The Selena performance is scheduled through approximately 6:30 p.m.

Columbia Park is located at 4045 190th Street. Admission is free, and the City encourages attendees to bring a blanket or lawn chair for the outdoor performance.

The event also marks the finale of Torrance Summer Nights, which has brought months of free music, movies and entertainment to parks throughout the city.

For anyone who has been waiting for an excuse to sing along to “Como La Flor” in a Torrance park, this may be your weekend.
