Torrance-based In Orbit Aerospace is developing INTELLACT, software designed to help spacecraft monitor their condition and respond to problems on board. In an October 14 interview with Payload, its founders described new NASA and SpaceWERX research awards supporting the work. The company is targeting situations where communications are disrupted or ground operators cannot react quickly enough. The technology remains under development; these awards support research, not proof of operational success.
